    Create and Sign Petitions

Petitioning can be a powerful form of collective grassroots expression to gather supporters and demonstrate the strength behind a cause. Petitions have been effective in changing government policy thousands of times already.

Petition sites typically make it very easy for you to sign, send letters off to politicians and to share the cause through your email networks or social media outlets. Commit to signing a petition a day, and urge your family and friends to do the same and see what kind of big action and attention can be brought to important issues.

While there are so many causes that need attention, it is not possible to be an activist for everything. Pick your causes based on what concerns you the most. Petitions exist in support of most environmental, political or social problems. If they don’t exist – start your own petition and take action into your own hands.
